WAYS TO GIVE: DETAILS
If you choose to support us financially, thank you!
Here is a full list of ways to make donations to Christ Church. If you would like further information please contact the Treasurer using the form near the bottom of the page.
REGULAR GIVING
Standing order
This is our preferred method and is used by many in our congregation. It really helps us to know that we are receiving regular income.
You can update or create a standing order online if you use internet banking. Our bank account details can be downloaded here.
Alternatively, a form to complete and send to your bank can be downloaded here.
Payroll giving
This is a flexible scheme for UK tax payers that makes it easy to give regularly on a tax-free basis to the charities and good causes of your choice. Further information is available from the Treasurer.
Direct debit
We don’t promote direct debits as a means of giving, but please contact us if you would like to give this way.
Envelopes
We can provide giving envelopes on request. These are most often used to make regular cash donations. They can also be used to make a Gift Aid declaration.
ONE-OFF GIVING
Internet banking
This method is good because we do not have to pay bank charges. Our bank account details can be downloaded here.
Please let us know how we should use your gift by a comment on your bank transfer or by contacting the Treasurer.
Debit or credit card
The link below will take you to the Give A Little payment platform. For many people this will be the most convenient method of making one-off donations.
Cash or cheque
Please make cheques payable to “Christ Church” and either hand them in or post them to the church office or the Treasurer.
Cash has become more problematic during the pandemic but if you wish to give by this method please contact us to make the arrangements.
Legacy
Once you have made provision for your loved ones in your will, you have the opportunity to make a lasting gift to God by leaving a legacy to his church. The PCC welcomes legacies; our policy on legacies and further information can be downloaded here.
Charity account
Stewardship supports a community of generous givers – people who are passionate about resourcing God’s kingdom and making an impact
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) make giving simpler and more effective so you can plan how you give
Phone app
If you wish to make use of the donation app that comes with our bookkeeping software please contact the Treasurer.
ENHANCING YOUR GIVING
Contact our Treasurer
Please note that the above form should be used to contact the Treasurer only. For all other queries and messages please visit our Contact page.
Gift Aid
If you pay income tax or capital gains tax, Christ Church can normally reclaim some of the tax you have paid. We get an extra 25% at no additional cost to you so this is very valuable to the church. Further information and a Gift Aid declaration form can be downloaded here.
Fundraising Code
The PCC of Christ Church has considered its responsibilities under the code established by the Fundraising Regulator and confirms that all fundraising will be in compliance with the code.
