This page contains resources for the Christ Church Day of Prayer held on Saturday 27 June 2020.

At the time the country, and indeed much of the world, was in lockdown due to coronavirus and we were unable to meet physically. The day included some live online events, especially prayer sessions held via Zoom, but many of these resources can be used at any time and anywhere.

The day was themed around the Lord’s Prayer.

Ways to pray

We are encouraged to pray in the Spirit at all times (Ephesians 6:18) and never was this more important than in this time of crisis. Christ Church set aside Saturday 27 June as a Day of Prayer to seek God and to bring before him the needs of our world, our country, our community and our church.

Silently, aloud, by writing, drawing, through music, outside, at a Zoom meeting, with a friend on the phone, being quiet and listening, missing a meal or TV…

The downloadable guides and resources on this page are intended to help rather than to constrain. There is no pressure: you can do as little or as much as you like.

We’ve compiled two Youtube playlists of songs which you may find helpful to worship and pray.
