Warm Welcome
As part of our response to the Cost of Living crisis in Winter 2022 we joined the national Warm Welcome initiative and opened our building for four sessions a week.
Prayer Ministry
We encourage all our members to pray for one another, in church and during the week. However we also have a trained prayer ministry team who make themselves available after every 10.30am Sunday service and Coffee Mates.
Prayer Meetings
Prayer is an essential element of all our services, groups, meetings and groups, and our life as disciples and children of God. We also host several meetings dedicated to praying for different aspects of church life.
Bereavement Group
Every Tuesday morning during term-time a small group meets in the Lounge at church to share stories and listen to one another’s experience of grief.
Summer Drop-Ins
During the August summer holiday we run three or four drop-ins from 10am to 2pm on Thursdays, for children and their parents, as well as members of our other midweek groups.
321 / Alpha / START
We regularly run courses and groups for people who are interesting in learning more about the Christian faith – for the first time or as a refresher.
Afternoon Fellowship
The Afternoon Fellowship meets every other Monday during term-time (see the Calendar for dates), for cakes and refreshments, chat and Bible study.
Walking Group
We meet every Thursday for short (usually 2-4 mile) walks in the local area. Routes are chosen so they are easily accessible by public transport, or lifts are provided from the church car park.
Coffee Mates
Coffee Mates meets Fridays during term time from 10.30am to noon. Why not bring a friend along for a chat over coffee and cake?
Lunch Club
Christ Church Lunch Club has a long tradition of providing friendship, community and a high-quality meal for a group of over 40 mainly older people each Wednesday lunchtime.
Toddler Group
For toddlers aged 0-4 and their parents, grandparents and carers. We meet each Monday and Thursday morning from 10 to 11.30 during school term times.
Renew
Our youth group meets on Sunday mornings for Bible study and age-appropriate activities, and on Wednesday evenings for social activities and games, pizza nights, thoughts about faith, and more.
