Inviting the uninvited
Jesus calls us to radical hospitality. It’s hard to give up control, to allow in people who don’t belong, to let our lives get messy… but God did that for us, so should we do any less?
Biblical hospitality is open-hearted and generous, demonstrating the gospel truth of God’s love. This autumn we dig into what that looks like day-by-day.

Jesus calls us to radical hospitality. It’s hard to give up control, to allow in people who don’t belong, to let our lives get messy… but God did that for us, so should we do any less?

Jesus challenges us to offer hospitality and compassion to people far beyond those like us, or people we get on with.

Generosity is an attitude of heart, and may not involve money at all. What do we have that can be used in God’s service?

God’s grace to Jonah was patient, and relentless – what does it look like to invite others to discover that grace for themselves?

Jesus demonstrated true humility – but what actually is it, and how can we follow his example in hospitality?

Jesus broke through social, ethnic and gender barriers to transform one woman’s life. What radical hospitality is he calling us to?

Food – and creation – plays a central part in God’s work of reconciling himself with fallen humanity.

We don’t have to be wealthy to show hospitality to strangers – and in so doing perhaps meet angels unawares.

God has given us good things – not because we deserve them but as gifts of mercy and grace.
